Purchased a loft in the Detroit in fall of 2007. It's absolutely beautiful. I am happy that my first purchase was in Detroit. The project itself, which shall remain nameless is a true loft in every sense of the word. The developers, who did all of the sales on their own (without the assistance of a realtor) ranted over its beauty as well. They lied a whole lot about what the construction was like and they lied a whole lot about homeowners would get once they moved in! The biggest lie, though, is that the project had adequate soundproofing. No such thing!!!! I can hear my neighbors very clear, as if they are inside of my unit. I've approached them several times, but to no avail. Oh, they did try to do some extra caulking, but that didn't help either. Now I am stuck. Stuck in this beautiful loft where I can hear everything.
